Lordex Lumbar Decompression Therapy
Lordex Lumbar Decompression Therapy:
A Therapeutic Treatment for Lumbar Spine Disc Herniation
One of the most common health issues and experienced by most people at some time in their lives is: Lower Back Pain
The lower back called the Lumbar spine is made up of five separate vertebrae with an intervertebral disc separating each vertebra. The intervertebral disc acts as a spacer and shock absorber for the spinal region. The disc also gives us our flexibility.
Because the total load force of our upper torso is placed upon the lumbar spine, the vertical pressure experienced while sitting or standing causes an increased burden of pressure in the disc, the joints, and various pain points. The result of this abnormal load can cause the disc to bulge or herniate putting pressure on the spinal cord or spinal nerve roots thus causing the associated pain and dysfunction. Unloading the disc, spinal nerve roots, and osseous structures decompresses areas where sensitive nerve fibers are pinched or irritated causing the dreaded lower back and /or lower extremity pain.
When the pain in the back, buttocks, legs, or feet develop due to mechanical stress, injury, or weak muscles, Dr. Batson utilizes the LORDEX Lumbar Spinal Decompression Therapy to decompress the pinched nerve, restore spinal joint function, and rehabilitate the disc and surrounding spinal structures.
Lumbar Decompression Therapy is a gentle and nonsurgical, noninvasive, and affordable technique for the treatment of:
- Disc Bulging and Disc Herniation
- Lower back or leg pain
- Pinched nerves
- Sciatica
- Disc degeneration
- Arthritis
- Facet syndrome
- Spondylolisthesis
- Stenosis
- Radiculopathy
Lumbar Decompression Therapy
LORDEX Spinal Decompression Therapy is a closed reduction decompression procedure (NON-SURGICAL) designed to unload the micro-components that produce pressure on sensitive nerve fibers. This gentle, safe, and effective process focuses on the specific lesion, disc, or vertebra(e) diagnosed as the source of the pain. Lumbar Decompression Therapy (LDT)™ re-stabilizes the spine by naturally re-educating the disc and surrounding spinal ligaments, retracting disc bulges and disc herniations, rehydrating the disc, and reducing the pressure on the spinal cord or spinal nerve root which carry the vital neurological impulses, ultimately reducing pain and increasing function.
Lordex Rx1 Strength Restoration Therapy™
Is a closed stabilization exercise therapy process achieved through increased lumbar para-spinal muscle strengthening due to the fact that most back complications and disc herniations are thought to result from mechanical spinal instability and disc-use atrophy, leading to pain.
Each therapy session/exercise regimen is individually tailored to each patient’s needs.
